We are proud to have recently launched our new Winter 2014 US Made Collection of socks produced in small batches in North Carolina. The designs are heavily inspired by the California Winter that we are so familiar with. The mind-blowing sunsets that emerge during the many crisp dusks as the chilled ocean air wafts in from the salty coast. We relish those moments kicking around the loose rocks on the inky train tracks.
The color palette has hints of forest green to match our Golden State’s cypress trees, as well as elements of red rust color that harkens back to the Union Pacific tracks weathered by the briny marine atmosphere. The designs consist of Tribal and hourglass components, as well as chevron and diamond patterns that are a nod to the 1950’s and your favorite knitted sweater.
The photoshoot was done by Carlsbad-based Randy Ronquillo and features Drew Meseck of one of our favorite accounts North Menswear in Laguna Beach, CA. Pete Surprenant, the gentleman proprietor of North Menswear styled the photoshoot and did us a solid by letting us drive his badass truck too. Not a bad day at all.
We headed to North San Diego County and explored spots that embodied our casual lifestyle. An afternoon making our way down the iconic Pacific Coast Highway with the windows down is the kind of thing that can make time stand still. That feeling, thats our US Made collection.
