Q: Got any cool scars?
A: I got a super cool scar on my right eyebrow that I got from rollerblading... I mean aggressive inline skating.
Q: If you could travel to ANY location, where would it be and why?
A: It always depends on the season, but right now I've got San Sebastian Spain on my mind. I used to live in the Basque country and I'm dying to show it to my growing family.
Q: What scares you?
A: My kids growing up without me.
Q: Heres $20, what do you spend it on?
A: Beer or Coffee... probably both.
Q: If you weren’t a surfer what would you be?
A: I'd probably be pouring all of my time into my band -Sunburnt Reynolds.
Q: What is the biggest mistake you have made along the way?
A: Pleasing people. As a youngster I was obsessed with gaining recognition and high fives from people I thought were cool but didn't really know. I'm realizing that I'm happiest and creating the best work when I'm doing things to please the person I want to be, to help turn the world into the place I want it to be.
Q: How do you define Honest Hustle?
A: I think it's a long term approach to living a life of integrity. It's defining your own dreams and then doing everything in your power to make those dreams a reality.
Q: Pizza or Tacos?
A: If I'm in San Diego tacos... Anywhere else it's pizza.
Q: What is your go-to sock style?
A: I spend the majority of my time in a pretty warm climate so i'm super into the no-shows with low top shoes. But to be honest I love it all.
